Ryan Gleeson, owner of a comedy club in Blackpool, and his wife, Jen, are anticipating a roaring success for the final bank holiday weekend of the summer. Unfortunately, one of their performers, Simon Wozniak, has had to drop out at the last minute. Three aspiring comedians try out in the hopes of replacing Simon, and Ryan recruits his old friend and comedy legend Mick Miller to help evaluate their performances.
