BBC New Comedy Awards: Episode 2 (S2022EP2 BBC Three Tuesday 4 October 2022)
From more than 1,000 submissions, 30 up-and-coming comedians from all over the UK were chosen to compete in a series of six heats and compete for a spot in the BBC New Comedy Awards 2022 grand final.
This episode was recorded at the Corn Exchange in Exeter, where up-and-coming comics Will Hall, Leila Navabi, Omar Badawy, Kate Cheka, and Michael McKenzie performed in an effort to win over the judges and advance to the final.
Jayde Adams, a comedian, actor, and Strictly competitor, is here to maintain order. Award-winning comedian Laura Smyth and Welsh stand-up Leroy Brito serve as the judges. Fern Brady, the panel’s chief judge, completes it.
