Becoming Frida Kahlo “The Making and Breaking” (BBC Two Friday 10 March 2023)

Becoming Frida Kahlo airs a new episode tonight Friday 10 March 2023 on BBC Two.

“The Making and Breaking” Frida’s rebellious high school years are recounted by biographer Martha Zamora; it is around this time that she meets Diego Rivera, the future love of her life and a famous artist in his own right.

Unfortunately, in 1925, Frida’s dream of becoming a doctor is cut short by a tragic accident. Despite being doomed to a lifetime of suffering due to her injuries, she uses them as inspiration for her paintings.
