Big Brother: Dying Gets You Nowhere (S1EP3 ITV Sat 12 Sep 1970, with John Thaw)

In Dying Gets You Nowhere, the third episode in the anthology series, John Thaw stars as a security officer by the name of Corden who is investigating a press leak in the corridors of power at Whitehall.

The leak has proved to be very embarrassing for the powers that be and Corden’s investigations reveal all manner of dodgy goings on. But is Corden’s heavy handed approach necessarily the right one.

Beside Thaw the again excellent cast includes a young Mel Martin, Michael Gwynn, Neil Stacy and Arthur Pentelow who is best known for his long running role as Henry Wilks on Emmerdale Farm.
