Big Zuu’s Big Eats: Lucy Beaumont (S3EP6 Dave Monday 8 August 2022)
This week the boys are heading to Hull, the hometown of comedy boss Lucy Beaumont. The boys are jumping in headfirst and taking over the neighbourhood aquarium for the fishiest Big Eats takeover because Hull used to be the nation’s fish capital and Lucy comes from a long line of trawlermandem heritage. When Lucy was pregnant, she once thought her baby was about to arrive early and was rushed to the hospital; however, it turned out that she had indigestion from eating an excessively large burrito.
Now Zuu wants to pay homage to that memorable lunch by offering a build-your-own-wrap option that includes deep-fried hake. There are other fishy dishes on the menu as well. Everyone agrees that apple crumble is the best dessert ever, but Zuu is elevating it. He’s made a fish-shaped apple crumble that was inspired by Lucy’s heritage! With the best bait on her plate and the aquarium’s underwater inhabitants all around her, Zuu is certain that Lucy will be caught in this meal hook, line, and sinker.

Season 3 Episode 6
Grime artist Big Zuu has a hidden talent – he’s also a great cook. His only professional experience may have been six months working the grill at Nando’s, but now, this self-taught chef is hitting the road with his old school mates Tubsey and Hyder, looking to cook up amazing dishes in the back of his very own food truck for a selection of the UK’s favourite comedians.
As a musician, Zuu knows all about the difficulties of finding good food on tour – but how does the comedy circuit compare? In this series he’s meeting top comics – including Jimmy Carr, Josh Widdicombe, Jamali Maddix and London Hughes – to cook them the perfect post-gig rider, ready for when they come off stage.
And for each meal he adds his own signature twist – from using Doritos as a topping on fried chicken, to cramming an entire roast dinner into a Yorkshire pudding sandwich – this is cooking like you’ve never seen it before, but will it be enough for some of the biggest names in British comedy?
