Black Sails XXIV (Starz 27 Feb 2016, with Zethu Dlomo)

In Black Sails XXIV Flint meets Vane and Blackbeard and tells them of his plan to take back Nassau. Blackbeard makes it plain he has heard all this talk from Flint before and he is not interested. Flint also makes it plain that it’s not Blackbeard’s decision, the men of his ships and crew are tied by oath to Flint and Vane.

Unwilling to allow Flint to appeal to his men Black insists there is only one way to settle the matters – pistols and then swords. The duel that then takes place is suitably epic. Pistols are drawn, Flint catches Blackbeard a slight glancing blow to the side of the head. Blackbeard is down but not out. Swords are drawn and Blackbeard easily gets the better of Flint…. In steps Vane to continue on his season three journey of redemption. In the end Vane doesn’t kill Blackbeard (he feels he owes far too much to eve do that) and Vane leaves the island with Flint but minus any crew and the fleet.

Rackham, having gone to secure is free pardon, is somewhat surprised when he is taken into custody. Rogers tells him that if he doesn’t give back the gold he has taken then everyone on Nassau will die at the hands of the Spanish. Rackham pretends to Rogers that he will help but has no intention of doing so.
