In Northern Ireland, three police recruits have the daunting task of making it through their initial days on the job. One of them is probably going to fail sooner or later.

It doesn’t take long for the team to find themselves in a battle for justice, pitted against drug gangs, paramilitaries, undercover operatives, the local community, and even their own force.

As emergency responders, they interact with people from all walks of life. The majority of the people the police see just want some assistance getting ahead in life. But when a major investigation into a local criminal gang is abruptly halted, troubling and potentially deadly questions arise. Who is covering for these thugs? How come?
