Brights Boffins Straw Without Bricks ITV 1972

In In the Nick Bright is still in hospital recovering from the stubbed toe incident. Dogsears and Marmaduke decide to take him out for a walk but as usual things don’t quite go to plan, Bright ends up getting arrested and finds himself in the dock.

Dominic Roche pops up again, this time as the prosecution counsel whilst the excellent character actor Michael Ripper played the judge. Ripper notched up 241 film and TV credits in his long career which began in 1936. Pretty much always in character roles down the cast list, he was a regular in many of the classic Hammer Horrors and his highest profile role was probably that of farmer Mr Shepherd in Jon Pertwee’s Worzel Gummidge.
