Britain’s Top Takeaways: Mexican (S1EP6 BBC Two Tues 17 May 2022)

Five of the country’s best takeaways descend on Manchester for an epic battle of tacos and quesadillas, as fantastic authentic Mexican dishes inspired by all corners of the country are prepared for tonight’s Mexican takeout menu.

Rodolfo and Amaya of El Ajolote in Lincolnshire; married couple Erik and Sandra of Homies on Donkies Mexican takeaway in Walthamstow; owner Aoife and chef Benjy of La Choza in Brighton offer seafood inspired Mexican; owner Alastair and head chef Edgar of The Mexican in Ware representing Hertfordshire; and finally best friends Alastair and Edgar of The Mexican in Ware serving up their grannies’ authentic Mexican dishes.

A host of ordinary takeaway loving families will eat, rate, and score the food from the comfort of their own homes, and guest judges, Heaton Moor Tennis Club, will judge the Mexican cuisine and choose a winner.

But, tonight, who will the families choose as their favourite Indian takeaway?
