Christa B Allen (13 Going on 30), Ryan Rottman (“90210”), Ashley Newbrough (“Privileged”) and Marielle Scott (Lady Bird) star in “Christmas for Keeps,” a new original premiering Saturday, December 18 (10:00 p.m. ET/PT), on Hallmark Movies and Mysteries as part of the network’s “Miracles of Christmas” programming event – your home for the holiday.

Everyone has that one teacher whose impact on them follows them throughout their lives, and when a beloved high school drama teacher (Everick Golding, “Stolen by My Mother: The Kamiyah Mobley Story”) passes away, five close friends reconnect in their Virginia hometown.

Avery (Allen) spearheads a celebration of life with her friends Ben (Rottman), Sarah (Newbrough), Noah (Cardi Wong, “Are You Afraid of the Dark?”) and Mia (Scott) to commemorate their favorite mentor that intersects with the Christmas traditions he famously enjoyed. As laughter, tears and the joy of the season intertwine, the friends are reminded of the kernels of wisdom that their teacher bestowed to each of them.

All the while, Ben’s secret love for Avery may finally come to light as something more than friendship sparks between them. At the conclusion of the weeklong Christmas celebration, the greatest way of honoring their teacher lies in the ways they help one another rekindle loving ties and create brighter futures for each other.

“Christmas for Keeps” is from Lighthouse Pictures. Lesley Demetriades is executive producer. Shawn Williamson, Jamie Goehring and Mick MacKay are producers. Fred Gerber directed from a script by Nikki DeLoach & Megan McNulty.

Airdate: Saturday 18 December 2021 at 10.00pm on Hallmark Movies and Mysteries.
