The true crime documentary series Con Girl follows one woman across 75 aliases, 3 continents.

The four parter examines Australian serial con artist Samantha Azzopardi’s many identities and lies across two weekends of double episodes.

In Australia, Ireland, and Canada, Azzopardi is accused of defrauding families and law enforcement. She began serving her two-year sentence in May of 2021.

Samantha was portrayed as a pure, lovely, and modest figure. It was generally agreed that she was a “lovely girl” and someone anyone could put their faith in.

Samantha used more than seventy-five aliases to repeatedly deceive victims and authorities in various parts of the world. Her aliases ranged from Russian gymnast Emily Sciberras, whose family was killed in a murder-suicide, to a distraught teenage girl with no name who was found on the streets of Dublin after escaping a human trafficking ring.

Through the exclusive testimonies of Samantha’s victims, Con Girl takes viewers on an intriguing international journey to uncover the truth about Samantha and her motives.
