Crime of Passion: Celine (ITV 6 Apr 1970, Frederick Jaeger)

In Celine Canadian writer Robert Bureau has found himself on trial accused of the murder of his secretary Celine Tallandier. He arrived in France with two failed marriages behind him and hoping to complete the research for a novel he is working on.

Bureau hires Celine to type up his notes for him and he is soon smitten with her. Celine though is not as straightforward as she seems and Bureau becomes convinced she is hiding a secret from him.

The show’s normal running time was pushed back 10 minutes to 9.10pm to take in a Party Political Broadcast by The Conservative and Unionist Party.
