Live coverage of the women’s road race at the World Championships, with the globe’s biggest stars battling it out to claim the coveted rainbow jersey in Flanders, Belgium.

The defending champion is the Netherlands’ Anna van der Breggen. The 31 year-old also won the event in 2018 and will be looking to bow out in style in what will be her final race at a major championship, having announced she will retire at the end of the year.

The British team includes Lizzie Deignan, who outsprinted Van der Breggen to win road race gold in 2015.

Jill Douglas introduces the action, with commentary from Simon Brotherton and Chris Boardman.

Airdate: Saturday 25 September 2021 from 2.00pm to 4.15pm on BBC Two.
