Australia, get ready because Fisk, the ABC comedy series, is returning tonight with a new season.
Fisk, which was created, written, directed, and starred one of Australia’s favourite comedians, Kitty Flanagan as Helen Tudor-Fisk, was the country’s top locally produced television programme on all free-to-air networks in 2021.
Along with Flanagan, Julia Zemiro, Marty Sheargold, Aaron Chen, John Gaden, and Glenn Butcher, all return.
They are joined this season by a galaxy of comedic stars including; Marg Downey, Denise Scott, Harley Breen, Stephen Curry, Geraldine Hickey, Zindzi Okenyo, Urvi Majumdar, Stephen Gates (Tripod), Anthony Sharpe, Shane Bourne Glenn Robbins, Bessie Holland, Rob Sitch, Deborah Kennedy, Matt Okine, Alex Papps, Broden Kelly (Aunty Donna), Colin Lane, Anne Edmonds and Tanika Anderson.
In season two, things continue as usual at Gruber & Associates. Even though Helen (Flanagan) is doing a fantastic job as a suburban wills and estates lawyer, her social skills haven’t improved.
It got to the point where Roz (Julia Zemiro) and Ray (Marty Sheargold) erroneously gave her the presentation of their weekly Q&A probate information night at the neighbourhood library.
As George (Aaron Chen) becomes overworked as Roz starts a new business venture, Ray is shredding for a school reunion.
Helen’s clientele will include a clown theatre company, a May/December couple with a new child, and a mother who communicates with her two quarrelling sons from beyond the grave.
But when a strong woman steps forward to assert a vague $10 million bequest from the town’s crazy cat lady, the stakes in the probate process are really raised.
