Garden Rescue: Hereford airs Wednesday 31 May 2023 on BBC One

Hereford natives Eleanor and Rob want an environmentally friendly garden for their two young daughters. The couple places a premium on having a low- or zero-carbon garden that doesn’t harm the surrounding ecosystem. They hope that by recycling and reusing materials, they can reduce their carbon footprint while constructing the garden. They hope to use as many organic resources as possible and create abundant habitats for birds, butterflies, and bees.

Rob’s heritage is South African, so grilling is practically in his blood. He dreams of a new garden with a designated Braai area and raised beds for his daughter’s vegetable garden. Chris and Charlie have their work cut out for them, as their current garden is a neglected concrete jungle, and they only have a budget of £4,500 to work with.
