One of the most divisive debates of our time centres on the significance of sex and gender. Empathy and constructive conversation are in short supply amidst the clamour and anxiety of entrenched positions.

Philosopher and author Kathleen Stock, who left her university job after protests against her views on gender self-identification, and Professor Stephen Whittle, who has been actively involved in the campaign for transgender rights for 50 years, are just two of the people Gender Wars has access to as politicians and institutions struggle to deal with the consequences.

This film explores potential answers at a time when views on sexuality and gender do not appear to becoming less divisive and toxic. Can we expect the Gender Wars to last forever or is there an end in sight?
