‘Good Morning America’ Is Most-Watched Morning Newscast in America
“Good Morning America” ranked as America’s No. 1 morning newscast in Total Viewers (3.033 million) during the week of Oct. 31, 2022, based on Live + Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research. “GMA” beat “Today” (2.882 million) by 151,000 Total Viewers.
For the 2nd consecutive week, “GMA” saw gains from the previous week in Adults 25-54 (725,000 vs. 723,000) and Adults 18-49 (+6% – 521,000 vs. 491,000), hitting 4-week highs in both measures — since w/o 10/3/22.
“GMA” narrowed its margins with “Today” from the same week last year in Adults 25-54 (-65% – 22,000 vs. 62,000) and Adults 18-49 (-89% – 9,000 vs. 82,000).
Season to date, “GMA” (3.098 million) is ranking as the No. 1 morning newscast in Total Viewers for the 11th consecutive year. “GMA” is leading NBC’s “Today”(2.846 million) by 252,000, more than doubling its lead from the same point last season(+142%; vs. 104,000) to its largest in 7 years — since the 2015-2016 season.
During the week, “GMA” (3.033 million, 725,000 and 521,000, respectively) defeated “CBS Mornings” (2.303 million, 537,000 and 384,000, respectively) in Total Viewers(+730,000), Adults 25-54 (+188,000) and Adults 18-49 (+137,000).
Emmy® Award-winning “GMA,” featuring the anchor team of Robin Roberts, George Stephanopoulos, Michael Strahan and chief meteorologist Ginger Zee, airs live Monday-Friday (7:00-9:00 a.m. EDT) on ABC. Simone Swink is the executive producer.
