Today Tuesday 21 February 2023, there is a new episode of Great British Menu.

North West England: Starter and Fish It’s the first heats for the north west of England. Caroline Martins, chef at Manchester’s Sao Paulo Project, has returned to the show. She’s joined by other chefs Sam Grainger, chef patron of Liverpool’s Belzan, Danielle Heron, head chef at Osma, and Laszlo Nagy, formerly of Chester’s Hypha as well.

The competition’s subject this year is a celebration of British animation and illustration across mediums, from cartoons to comics to video games, and host Andi Oliver is happy to have them in the kitchen.

This week’s senior judge, a former champion who is kept secret from the chefs until they enter into the kitchen to taste the canapés for the first dish, will select which of the four will be eliminated from the competition at the end of the show.
