Today Tuesday 14 February 2023, there is a new episode of Great British Menu.

Wales: Starter and Fish The south west of England has started its heats. Mark Threadgill of Hotel Portmeirion, Georgia Sommerin of Home in Penarth (with a Michelin star), and Tom “Westy” Westerland, who honed his skills at Michelin-starred Lucknam Park, are all back for another season. There is also Cardiff native Simmie Vedi, who is competing for the first time.

The competition’s subject this year is a celebration of British animation and illustration across mediums, from cartoons to comics to video games, and host Andi Oliver is happy to have them in the kitchen.

In the end, the senior judge — a former winner who is kept secret from the chefs until they enter into the kitchen to eat the canapés — will select one of the four to be eliminated from the competition.
