Felicity is hiding her attempts to secure a loan and pay off her blackmailer. When Eden shares the album mix with her, Felicity gets an idea. She approaches Cash and asks him for money, pretending that it’s for a Lyrik album launch. Cash is skeptical and turns to Eden for the truth, only to find out that Lyrik isn’t even having a launch at Salt. Felicity’s lie is exposed, and she confesses that she has been irresponsible with her own money and now needs ten thousand dollars to cover herself. Cash, being supportive, lends her the money. However, he confides in Eden his suspicion that this might be another lie.

Band manager Justin meets with Kirby to take back control, and he is impressed with the work she has done. But there is a concern that Kirby has given the majority of the publicity to Theo as a punishment since he is her ex-boyfriend. Kirby strongly disagrees, arguing that it’s Theo’s responsibility as the front man, and if he doesn’t like it, tough luck. Kirby is insulted that Justin would question her intentions. Leah warns Justin to be cautious of a heartbroken Kirby, and his continued efforts only seem to make things worse. So, Leah offers to step in and brings muffins as a peace offering. She suggests to Kirby that there is more to life than just bands and boys, but Kirby doesn’t take it well.

John still hasn’t informed Irene that he’s moving out. Despite Marilyn gently urging him to do so, it’s hard for John to refuse a roast pork dinner. Marilyn argues that recent events have made it clear that Irene prefers honesty and directness. John agrees and gathers the courage to announce his plans to move out. Irene appreciates the honesty but admits that she will miss having him around, perhaps more than she is letting on.

Set in a fictional coastal town in New South Wales, Home and Away follows the residents of Summer Bay as they go about their daily lives.
