Things are starting to fall apart for undercover policeman John Bloom in the final episode of Identity, in Tomorrow Comes Early, when the police uncover a mass grave it also leads to the discovery of Atif’s body, Bloom soon discovers that fellow officer Anthony, who has been suspicious of him from the beginning, has been secretly following him and has video evidence of his culpability in Atif’s death.
After a confrontation Anthony forces Bloom to make a decision, he’ll let him walk away if he gives up his police career, meanwhile Adile’s father has discovered that Bloom is not the Brendan he thought he was and kidnaps Martha to get to him…
A decidedly strong final episode brings the first season to a conclusion, Martha finally discovers just what Bloom is all about and Anthony also gets his chance in the spotlight. Bloom is left with some interesting choices over which road he should take – the identity squad and Martha or a completely new life with Adile. All of which sets things up nicely for a possible second season of course.
