Inspector George Gently airs a new episode tonight Saturday 7 January 2023 on Drama.
Pilot First episode of the crime drama featuring Martin Shaw as the title character, a detective in the 1960s who is about to hang up his truncheon after becoming disillusioned with the corruption he sees on the job but not before tracking down the criminal who murdered his wife. Gently, who is partnered with a strong-willed police officer, has a tough time resolving the case and keeping his partner on the straight and narrow.
