James Martin’s Food Map of Britain: Northern Ireland airs Friday 26 May 2023 on BBC Two.

British Isles are home to a wide variety of delicious and distinctive regional ingredients, and Chef James Martin takes to the skies to investigate their origins.

He travels around Northern Ireland to learn more about the Dexter miniature native cattle and discover what gives them their distinctive flavour. He also travels to the East Coast to learn more about the region’s renowned lobster. While on the road, he prepares dishes like Goan lobster curry and Dexter beef fillet with risotto, garlic, parsley, and caramelised onions.
