In this three-part series, we follow two teens as they spend a formative year in the care of Coventry Children’s Services. We get unprecedented access to the children and their family. Havana and Kane are attempting to make sense of their shared past as they near maturity.

Havana, now 16, has never met her father and rarely sees her mother. She is now looking for her father with the help of the military. Kane moves back to Coventry to be with his mother after spending his formative years in several different foster homes and children’s homes. But he wants to see his case files so he can figure out why he was placed in foster care.
