Koala Man Australian Premiere Monday 9 January on Disney+
The new Australian animated series “Koala Man,” voiced by Michael Cusack, Hugh Jackman, Sarah Snook, Jemaine Clement, and Demi Lardner, will debut tonight on Disney+.
Kevin, a middle-aged father and the not-so-secret identity of “Koala Man,” patrols the streets of Dapto, Australia, looking to put an end to minor criminal activity and uphold the law.
Dapton looks and feels like any other Australian suburb on the outside, but it is actually a trap set by cosmic and man-made evils for the unwary. In his efforts to make his hometown look better, Koala Man frequently involves his irritated family.
Whatever it takes, he’ll take on evil geniuses, otherworldly horrors, and even jerks who don’t empty their rubbish bins on the correct days.
“Koala Man” comes from Aussie creator/animator Michael Cusack (“YOLO: Crystal Fantasy,” “Smiling Friends”) – who also voices the titular hero – and executive produced by “Solar Opposites” and “Rick and Morty” co-creator Justin Roiland and “Pokemon: Detective Pikachu” writers Dan Hernandez and Benji Samit. Michael Cowap also serves as executive producer. “Koala Man” is produced by 20th Television Animation.
Robust parental controls ensure that Disney+ remains a suitable viewing experience for everyone in the family. Subscribers can set access limits on mature content and create PIN protected profiles, alongside the already existing Kid Profiles, to give parents and guardians peace of mind.
