What is this episode about

The planet is dominated by mammals. They accomplish this by having warm blood and by caring for their young intensely. During the long Antarctic winter, cameras followed a mother Weddell seal as she wore down her teeth keeping a hole in the ice open to catch fish for her pup.

Images of millions of migrating bats converging on fruiting trees in Zambia captured by a powered hot air balloon are stunning, and slow-motion cameras show a mother rufous sengi tiring out a pursuing lizard. Diving teams join the world’s largest fight as male humpback whales compete for a female, and a gyroscopically stabilised camera follows migrating caribou.
