Loaded: Leon’s Teacher (Channel 4 15 May 2017, with Nick Helm)

Published

on

In Leon’s Teacher, new boss Casey (Mary McCormack) arrives from the US for a ‘flying visit’ and immediately fires a rocket up the gang – they need to start developing new content. And fast. But the boys, freshly-minted millionaires, have other things on their mind. Leon (Samuel Anderson) returns to his former school as the conquering hero in a desperate and somewhat pathetic bid to impress his old teacher. Josh (Jim Howick) gets involved in a charity event in a bid to impress ex-girlfriend Abi (Aimée-Ffion Edwards).

Watto (Nick Helm) struggles to reconcile his new moneyed status with his hardcore punk background and Ewan (Jonny Sweet) fights to make a positive impression on their new boss. When the grim spectre of churning out a cynical sequel to Cat Factory 2 rears its ugly head, the gang stand firm. Casey relents: ‘No sequel.’ But on one condition – she moves to London permanently. ‘Just for a bit of oversight…’

Hazell Gets The Boot

In Hazell Gets The Boot Hazell finds himself more or less coerced into taking on a supposedly simple job for villain Dave Castle. His Bently has been stolen and he wants James to get it back for him. Hazell’s investigation leads him to a scrap yard where the car is being hidden. He gets more than he bargained for when two of the Connell gang ambush him and give him a thorough going over.

Meanwhile Hazell’s love life is also going through a troublesome patch. Patsy Flanagan is spending some time at his flat after having a dust up with her husband. Hazell is keen for the arrangement to be just a night or two of pleasure but Patsy is keen on a more permanent arrangement.
