This time, we check in on two families who were looking for a place to finally call home.

Steph and Mark were living apart in 2011 and looking for a place where they could finally get married and start a family. Phil had his work cut out for him as the couple had specific requirements for the project house they were looking for, including three bedrooms, a south-facing garden, and a driveway.

His initial foray into real estate was unsuccessful, but from there he went on to find them a great house at nearly £40,000 under their budget. Steph and Mark are still living in the same house over a decade later. The renovations have done wonders for the home, and the new owners can finally feel at home as a family.

In addition, Elliot and James hoped to have their own place to call home by 2020. Their lifestyle made a big difference in deciding to move to south London. What wasn’t so big, as Kirstie quickly pointed out, was the square footage they could afford.

They decided to head in a different direction, out to Windsor, and found the perfect four-bedroom home with the open floor plan they had been hoping for. When Elliot revealed that they planned to replace the kitchen if they bought it, Kirstie was taken aback and pleaded with him to at least paint the cabinets. Now that Phil has returned, he can see what changes the trendy couple has made to the house, particularly in the kitchen.
