Make Me Prime Minister: Episode 1 (S1EP1 Channel 4 Tuesday 27 September 2022)

The Big Narstie Show

This brand-new series follows 12 everyday yet political British people as they compete in a series of challenges akin to those faced by prime ministers in an effort to gauge their leadership abilities, resiliency, and integrity.

The 12 candidates meet for the first time in week one and choose Darius and Natalie to be the team captains. Alastair Campbell and Baroness Sayeeda Warsi, two political heavyweights who both understand what it takes to be successful in office, challenge the two groups to concentrate on education in a task.

While Natalie hopes to gain favour with school children while dressed as a robot, Darius performs a maypole dance for the media. Can Danny, the son of music producer Goldie, and internet sensation Jackie Weaver come up with a speech for Darius that will make up for his lack of a ministerial approach?

The candidates will need to persuade and convince former politicians, seasoned journalists, and, most importantly, the general public that they have the charisma, vision, and political know-how to lead in order to maintain their campaign hopes and make it through the weekly vote. The contestants will be eliminated one at a time throughout the series, with the winner crowned Channel 4’s Alternative Prime Minister.
