Norwegian Thriller “Furia” FTA Series Premiere (SBS Wednesday 29 March 2023)
Lose Yourself And All Is Lost: Asgeir and his daughter Michelle, age seven, have relocated to a small town in western Norway after he assumed a new identity to avoid his previous life as a special-ops agent and a terrifying Russian underworld kingpin who wants him dead. He’s finally discovered peace and quiet as a police officer in his hometown. He is safe from discovery here. There is no danger to him. For the time being.
Set in Oslo and Berlin, two of Europe’s most illustrious capital cities, as well as rural western Norway, Furia is a tense, character-driven thriller with a dark, twist-laden narrative.
The plot revolves around Ragna (Ine Marie Wilmann), a covert operative who infiltrates a far-right extremist terror cell planning an atrocity the likes of which Europe has never seen before, and is an exciting blend of undercover thriller and prophetic political drama. Asgeir (Pl Sverre Hagen), a former special ops officer who fled the Russian underworld and assumed a new identity, is now living a quiet existence in western Norway. When their separate worlds collide, they must act quickly to stop something terrible from occurring in Germany.
Airdate: Wednesday 29 March 2023 at 11.00pm on SBS.
