Jungle School is a unique home for orphan orangutans learning vital life skills before returning to the wild. Its extraordinary team of devoted staff rescue orangutans that have been displaced from their habitat or kept as illegal pets, and teach them the skills they need to survive on their own.

This series reveals the often heart-rending stories behind each animal’s arrival, and follows the progress of these highly intelligent, endearing yet vulnerable students through all the stages of their education. In this episode, ‘Class Clown’ Valentino is busy showing off, and the staff decide that ‘Big Boy’ Beni needs to lose weight.

Teenage mum Clara and her baby Clarita face a return to island life, now that they’ve been reunited. As vets attempt to round up older orangutans for release, they find some of them extremely uncooperative. And some of them might not be ready for release, as medics find possible signs of tuberculosis.

Meanwhile, Jungle School welcomes an extraordinary new pupil: Alba, the world’s only reported albino orangutan.
