Peacock, a new BBC Three comedy, tells the story of Andy, a personal trainer at Sportif Leisure who is going through an identity crisis.
His is a world of selfies, swagger, and gym memberships, where vanity and achievement are frequently horribly entwined. When Andy misses a work promotion to a younger, more attractive PT, he realises he’s a man out of time. He needs to show that he’s more than his nice looks and carefully manicured dating profile, and he sets out to prove that he can be taken seriously – but can he?
In the first episode, Andy Peacock is in crisis as he realises that his playboy attitude and attractive work as a personal trainer are wearing thin. Realizing that everyone around him is progressing, Andy wonders if he should attempt new things, such as applying for the new Head Trainer position at work, or even settling down??
