Poldark Season 2 Episode 7 (BBC-1 16 October 2016)
It’s a mix of star crossed lovers and smuggling almost going wrong in the seventh episode of the second season of Poldark. The star crossed lovers part focuses on Dwight and Caroline who have convinced themselves that the only way they can be together is to elope. The plan is to join Ross when he travels to the Isles of Scilly with Trencom to meet up with Mark Daniel (who if you’ll remember discovered what is believed to a substantial vein of copper down Wheal Grace.)
The elopement hits a snag though when Dwight has to deal with Rosina who has dislocated her knee once again. Dwight and Demelza are also somewhat concerned about Rosina’s paramour Charlie Kempthorne believing he may well be the one informing on the smuggling runs.
Demelza realises she needs to very quickly warn Ross about a possible ambush only to find herself hamstrung by the arrival of Captain McNeil and his men at Nampara.
Meanwhile George is stooping ever lower in his bid to win over Elizabeth, hiring men to harass Trenwith, the aim being to drive Elizabeth to seek his help in warding them off.
