Noir crime drama The Thaw, set in Szczecin, begins with the finding of a murdered woman’s body in the frigid water along the Oder’s banks. Katarzyna Zawieja (Katarzyna Wajda, Raven), a 30-year-old widow, single mother, and dedicated cop, is in charge of the enquiry. But this case is more than just a murder investigation; Katarzyna also needs to figure out what happened to the baby the mother gave birth to just before she died.
