In Come into the Garden, Rose Frank is asked to investigate a theft at Cheviot House, a sort of home for the elderly, but his investigation opens a real can of worms. Rose Mason, who reported the theft, actually sold the items herself as part of her plan to elope with porter Harry Brierley.
As Frank digs further he discovers Harry is hiding a secret past.
Sewell, who also appeared in opening episode of season 4 as a fellow prisoner of Marker’s, was given a feature in the TV Times focusing on how he came to acting late (in his mid-thirties) and it was thanks to a chance meeting with Dudley Sutton in a pub that led to an audition for Joan Littlewood.
