J.R. Smith’s story is an inspiring tale of resilience and determination, it is told in four part documentary Redefined: J.R. Smith. At 19 years old, Smith found himself without an NBA team after being drafted straight out of high school. Rather than being discouraged by this setback, Smith decided to take control of his life and pursue a college education and a new athletic passion. As a result, he joined the Men’s Golf Team at North Carolina A&T, the largest Historically Black University in the nation.

Executive produced by NBA star LeBron James and Maverick Carter with their Emmy Award-winning athlete empowerment brand UNINTERRUPTED. Jamal Henderson, Philip Byron, Amy Glickman Brown, Erikka Yancy, and Philip Knowlton also serve as executive producers, directors, and co-executive producers. The series is presented by Prime Video Sports and produced by UNINTERRUPTED.
