Reef School Premieres 14 November on ABC Kids
A preschool unlike any other can be found underwater, tucked away in a peaceful coral reef.
The little Reefies, Ray, Surg, Ginger, Stripes, Oli, Chips, and the Snappers, are taught everything they need to know about life beneath the waves by their turtle teacher Mr. Flip (Tony Armstrong). Every day is as colourful as the coral around them with stories, songs, excursions, and games.
Reef School, narrated by Emma Watkins, is a captivating examination of an Australian coral reef and its marine life. It combines breathtaking real-life underwater footage with endearing character voices.
Murray the Eel and the animated series’ vivacious Ms. Flouncy are both voiced by Courtney Act and Uncle Jack Charles, respectively.
With interest, consideration, and a lot of humour, script producer and former triple j host Veronica Milsom leads viewers through various stages of emotional and social development in each episode.
Reef School will swim into the hearts and minds of preschoolers throughout Australia, teaching them everything from how to survive the first day of school to the value of imagination.
This underwater adventure draws on the natural wonder and curiosities of childhood and was created and developed by the award-winning ABC Children’s Department.
Every day at 5.55 p.m., brand-new episodes of Reef School will premiere on ABC Kids, ABC iview, and ABC KIDS iview. Five additional episodes will also be made available on ABC iview at the time of the launch.
