Iona Pennington lives on 1,700 acres, has 40 rental properties, a hotel, and two farms as part of the Muncaster estate in Cumbria that she inherited. In the show, she trades places with another participant, businesswoman Kate Stewart of Liverpool who rose above her working-class roots to achieve success. While Kate begins to appreciate Iona’s sense of duty to the financial near bottomless pit of Muncaster, Iona’s encounter with Kate’s stylist for a personal clothes-shopping session opens her eyes to the joys of new money.
