Shieldinch this week… It’s the day of the DNA test, and Stevie, Sam, and Andrew are nervous; Caitlin receives some heartbreaking news that she hopes would put an end to her dispute with Ellie; and Angus’s birthday celebrations threaten to expose Bob and Roisin’s hidden relationship.
Stevie and his two fathers work together to complete the DNA test and receive the results. Scarlett is taken aback when Andrew pulls out a ring box and asks her if she wants to be his girlfriend. Scarlett, overjoyed, says yes – but she soon realises she’s also the focus of Sam’s love.
Sam confides in Sonny, desperate for the DNA test to favour him, and his fear and self-doubt grow. Sam panics and flees as Stevie, Sam, and Andrew prepare to take the crucial test.
Ellie expresses her disappointment with the failed surrogacy to Ruby and then drops a bombshell: Caitlin and Ash are sleeping together. Ruby, taken aback, approaches her mother, demanding to know what is going on between her parents.
Caitlin seeks medical counsel from Dr Gillian, who believes she is going through the perimenopause. This means that her chances of becoming pregnant are limited to none. Caitlin is taken aback by the news, but she realises it’s also an opportunity to reconnect with Ellie.
It’s Angus’ birthday, and Bob goes all out to make up for Rebecca’s absence. When Angus discovers Bob and Roisin’s hidden relationship and confronts his closest friend for the truth, he is in for a surprise.
