From the Ashes: Former Premier League footballer Robbie Savage and local businessman Rob Smethurst attempt to build a new club from the ashes after Macclesfield Town Football Club is wound up in September 2020. Robbie and Rob hope to turn their project into a competitive football club of which the community can be proud in nine months, despite having no players, no staff, no league to play in, and a rundown old ground.
