Some of Wales’ youngest nurses are facing a wide range of medical challenges in the wards. Caitlin, a recently graduated nurse, must pick up the pace in her first week at the emergency room in Carmarthen. Mikey, a 22-year-old coworker, is fighting to save the life of a patient suffering from severe hypothermia across the ward.

At Aberystwyth’s Stroke Unit, nurse Gina helps keep spirits high with her humorous banter, and visits from Nelly the therapy dog brighten the day of both patients and staff.
