Two victims seem to deviate from Bruce McArthur’s murderous pattern.

Mobeen investigates what led McArthur to pick out a happily married man who lived outside the city as his target. Soroush Mahmudi was reported missing to the police one week after he vanished. He had brown skin, like the previous men, but police said there was no evidence that he was connected to the gay community this time.

Mobeen investigates further to learn what prompted McArthur, a mall Santa Claus, to alter his approach. And this isn’t the case’s only unexpected development. A few months after Soroush vanished, McArthur decided to kill his first known victim who was white.
