What is this episode about
The RNLI’s lifeboats were launched more than 9,000 times last year. A crew member’s life may depend on a choice they make in the split second before they hit the water.
When two fossil hunters get stranded by the tide in Whitby, the crew rushes to their aid, only to discover that they, too, are in peril. A trainee yachtsman in Swanage, on Dorset’s Jurassic Coast, has mysteriously sustained a head injury and needs immediate medical attention.
The crew from Poole sets out on a desperate search for a missing paddleboarder twenty miles along the coast. And in Newhaven, East Sussex, a fisherman’s kayaking trip goes horribly wrong.
