The fabulous The Shadow Line continues with the second episode and things are growing murkier by the second. As D.I. Gabriel investigates he becomes convinced that Wratten knew his killer having lowered his window in order to talk to him. Meanwhile D.S. Honey is has managed to track down the driver of Wratten’s car.
On the Wratten “business” front Bede is busy trying to organise a new drugs deal with Turk drugs lord Babur who makes it very plain what will happen to Bede if things go wrong. The sinister character known as Gatehouse also has his own agenda even if at this stage we don’t know what it is.
Completely brilliant and engrossing.
