Shetland Season 6 Episode 2 (S6EP2 BBC One Wed 27 Oct 2021)

In the wake of the diving incident, Perez and his team search for a link between the two deaths. Meanwhile, the compassionate release of Donna Killick sends tremors through the community.

Perez and Tosh investigate the gruesome dive-boat death, but although suspicion and accusation is rife amongst the crew, no clear motives are apparent.

Uncovering a potential link to organised crime, Perez delves deeper but his theory stalls when suspect Lynda Morton refuses to talk.

Convicted murderer Donna Killick makes her controversial return, home much to the horror of Kate Kilmuir, her victim’s sister. Terminally ill Donna shows no remorse for her crimes, which unsettles Perez. Duncan, on the other hand, seems keen to make amends.

The murder victim’s personal life falls under the spotlight, leading Perez to a mystery woman he was in regular contact with in the run up to his death.

Elsewhere, Tosh uncovers shocking details of Logan Creggan’s alleged war crimes, while Sandy pursues a dangerous line of enquiry.

Perez is played by Douglas Henshall, Donna Killick by Fiona Bell, Tosh by Alison O’Donnell, Lynda Morton by Kate Bracken, Kate Kilmuir by Neve McIntosh, Duncan by Mark Bonnar, Logan Creggan by Stephen McCole and Sandy by Steven Robertson. Also starring Erin Armstrong, Lewis Howden, Anne Kidd, Anneika Rose, Jim Sturgeon, Cora Bissett, Alec Newman, Lois Chimimba, Lewis Gribben, Angus Miller, Lucianne McEvoy, Benny Young and Andy Clark.

Shetland is a Silverprint Pictures production for BBC.
