In Miss International Jordan is not displeased to find himself watching over the contestants taking part in an international beauty competition and in particular Farida Gemal, Miss Tangier. It quickly becomes clear that someone is out to stop her performing in the contest but she is determined to go through with it.

Derren Nesbitt looked very at home in this publicity shot promoting the episode.
Matters are complicated when Moxon reveals that one of the contestants Nina Saretna (played by iconic Hammer Glamour girl Yutte Stensgaard) is not who she says she is.
Special Branch gets an injection of glamour and Jordan naturally enough is in his element. The plot turns out to be part of plan to discredit Gemal’s father, who is a prominent politician. Jordan and Inman are disgusted to learn that the plan has actually been put into place by Moxon to actually discredit Gemal’s opponents as political blackmailers.

Miss Tangier almost suffers a serious injury when a chandelier drops.
