Strangers: Armed and Dangerous (ITV 28 Oct 1980)

Armed and Dangerous is a very tense and exciting episode of Strangers, written by series creator Murray Smith (like all the episodes in this season) and with a very shocking ending. The episode begins with what should be a routine escort job for Bulman and Willis but things go sour when their prisoner, John Rutter, is targetted by his fellow gang members because they think he might “grass” on them.

With Rutter at death’s door in hospital and his family kidnapped and under threat the Inter-City team follow a trail that leads them to Scarborough and a very dangerous situation.
