The Good Companions: Miss Trant Pays The Bill (S1EP2 ITV 21 Nov 1980, with Nigel Hawthorne)

Published

on

In Miss Trant Pays The Bill Elizabeth agrees to pay off the Dinky Doos debts and take over the running of the troupe signalling the start of her new adventure, meanwhile in flashback we discover how she came to be “a woman of substance” and the events leading up to her joining the troupe.

A great guest appearance from the wonderful Nigel Hawthorne and more back story give us much to enjoy in this second episode. The songs apart from On The Road sung by Miss Trant and reprised by the cast at the end are not quite as strong but do serve to move the story along.
