The Great House Giveaway: Chirk – Tash and Gwion airs Thursday 8 June 2023 on Channel 4.
Tash, an apartment renovator, and Gwion, an electrician’s apprentice, work together to update a two-bedroom, end-of-terrace home in Chirk, North Wales. Simon challenges them to turn the two-bedroom into a three-bedroom and add a new bathroom in order to increase their already slim profit margins.
Tash may be lacking in this area of expertise, but with no access to mains gas and windows that don’t fit, that’s the least of their concerns. It’s a race against time and money to finish the renovation after yet another unforeseen setback.
Simon O’Brien, Tayo Oguntonade, and Carys Davies go to an auction and buy a house for two total strangers, then give them a set amount of money for renovations and a short time frame to make a profit.
