The Great House Giveaway: Newcastle airs Tuesday 6 June 2023 on Channel 4.

A four-bedroom home in Newcastle, is being renovated by Gemma, a music agent, and Paul, a plumber. In order to help them get started, Simon O’Brien provides them with a set amount of money, a deadline of six months, and some helpful hints, such as how to put in French doors. Expanding a cramped bathroom on the second floor and removing several large trees from the backyard are two additional obstacles that Gemma and Paul must surmount. Time is running out, but then something unexpected happens that threatens to derail the entire project.

Simon O’Brien, Tayo Oguntonade, and Carys Davies buy a house at auction, hand over a renovation budget, and give the buyers only a few months to turn a profit. If they can turn the house around as a team and put in the effort, they will be rewarded with the profits.
